So here’s to 2010… I have a few ideas for future posts, and I am looking forward to more fab comments, trying more lovely products, and meeting lots more lovely bloggers… Thank you all for reading and taking time to comment on the blog, enter contests, and generally indulge my obsessions!

• Max Factor released Second Skin foundation – like most foundations, you either love it or hate it. I love it! 
• My love of Shu Uemura continued apace, with that Cat Powder…
• I fell in love with a couple of Urban Decay lipsticks…
• … and completely OUT of love with a cartain NARS foundation.
• The most expensive tweezers ever (maybe) were launched.
• I got to play with some Hourglass products.
• The “Think Ouside the Box” Illamasqua contest launched.
• A very special film commemorating the life of Sophie Lancaster was released.

Oh – and we were all excited about the release of New Moon in the UK too – TEAM EDWARD!

• MAC’s highly anticipated “Style Black” collection finally launched, but MAC were not the only brand turning to the dark side…
• I played with some press-on shadows.

• Illamasqua had its 1st Birthday. 

We were all getting very excited about a certain upcoming Vampire flick too… 

• The Illamasqua events in London and Manchester were held. Meeting Alex Box and actually having my makeup done by her made me so excited I nearly did a bit of wee  carried myself with dignity and was very cool. A major highlight of the night was also meeting Sophie Lancasters mum…
• OPI’s My Private Jet became a hot contender for my nail varnish of the year…
• The Mister gave us one of the most in depth reviews of skincare ever seen.
• The finalists and winners of the Superheroes and Villains contest were chosen.

Can you believe it’s nearly 2010!

August was a far more pleasant month for me in terms of heat and discomfort (did I mention I hate heat?)

• The Illamasqua Superheroes and Villains contest launched.
• Some cute jewellery fell into my possession…
• St Moriz tan was the latest craze to hit the blogosphere.
• My crush on Rouge Bunny Rouge continued.
• I lusted after the Thierry Mugler makeup line… But I still haven’t managed to procure any!
• We had another get together at the the second Body Shop bloggers event.
• Me and the Mister had a little weekend away.

What were you up to in August?

• Attended my first Illamasqua masterclass, and got to meet to lovely Mika, as well as my makeup artist idol Alex Box.
• Our second Illamasqua contest finalists and winners were announced.
• I had issues with my skin – I blame the stupid hot weather. Not the fact that I wear too much makeup…
• I enjoyed more from RMK, but not so much from Jemma Kidd…
• My blog was featured in the Metro! This was one of the major highlights of my year – I was so proud to see it!
• We started to fall more and more in love with Sleek, especially the palettes.
• I had a 1920′s makeover.
• I bought OPI’s Done out in Deco – you can’t go wrong with a nail varnish the colour of purple smarties!
• I had a nasty case of Rouge Bunny Rouge addiction – it still takes me over from time to time…

I’m loving looking back over the year – I can’t believe how much makeup and skincare I have tested and loved. Some people might say thats a waste of time, but I wouldn’t swap it! I love makeup. I love skincare. I don’t know what it is, but I get a buzz out of trying things out, discovering new ways to wear things, and so I wouldn’t swap a second of it. Most importantly, I also love telling my lovely readers (I truly do appreciate every single one of you) about my finds, successes and failures…

• Our first Illamasqua contest was featured on the Illamasqua website. I screamed rather loudly when I saw it.

• We debated the merits of Barry M bronzer V’s Nars Laguna… Remember how obsessed we all were with it!?
• We were all excited to meet the actual Mister Barry M.
