Key Lime Nails.

I’m in love with this polish despite it having a distinct air of “Shrek” about it. It’s bright, obnoxious, but totally and utterly summery.

Often I struggle with green polishes because my hands have an odd reddish tone which clashes horribly. This shade, Key Lime, from the Barry M Gelly range, is so utterly plastic looking, that such worries melt away…

I often find that I can get away with one coat of these Gelly polishes, and whilst I probably could have with this, I think it definitely benefited from a second coat, which made it look glossier and more opaque. I love the formula of these polishes too, which are slightly thicker than the average polish. This means that they lend themselves well to colours which are usually streaky or a bit tricky in terms of opacity, such as pastels.

So to sum up, great formula, easy to apply. As for the colour? It is awful, but I like it…

Key Lime Gelly polish is available now at Boots, Superdrug, and Online, for £3.99.

Cruelty Free? Yes. Barry M have always prided themselves on it! This particular shade is vegan too.

I have similar problems with greens, but this lime is really pretty! Wish we had Barry M in the states.
