Wow, it’s scorching at the moment. I’m finally feeling well enough to go back to work and I’m due back in tomorrow, so I’ve had a relaxed and relaxing day today watching the MotoGP, making some more Rocky Roads (I seem to be ever so slightly addicted to them) – see HERE for the recipe - and I made my ultimate lazy girl dinner (recipe will be on le blog tomorrow!). I’m not good in this heat, so I’ve spent a lot of the day hiding in the shade!
Poor Ren and Coco have not been loving the heat at all – poor loves. I leave my electric fan on in my bedroom, and the pair of them can often be found collapsed in front of that.
They had a rare moment of affection with each other this morning – which finally gave me an opportunity to get some nice pictures of them together. Usually I can only manage to get pics of Ren – she loves posing, while Coco is much more of a reclusive Diva type…
Of all the pictures I got of them, this is the one that captures their different little personalities the best, and I love it;
Coco (the cat asleep at the back) is a laid back lady, while Renfield is a little monkey, who always want’s lots of attention, and “talks” to me all the time. I always say, Renfield brings the cuddles to you, whereas with my lovely Coco-pops you have to take the affection to her. A little effort gets great results from her though – she’ll roll over and let you tickle her belly.
Love them, and they make me smile every single day.

They’re so cute!
Hello lady! Why I like to think so – loves of my life they are! *Grabs cat to smoosh and gets a scratch as thanks*
)
beautiful eyes
They do indeed have pretty peepers – thank you! xxx
These pictures make me really want a cat again! <3
Hi Flyavsted, Its funny, I never really used to see myself as a cat person, but I absolutely adore the pair of them now. Couldn’t be without them!
They are adorable, especially I love the first photo
These are adorable! I love the first photo a lot. It’s such a shame about my allergy, really miss my cat. But you are lucky to have your babies
x
I feel lucky every day to have them Marina – I never used to “get” when people talked about their pets, but now I can’t imagine how I’ll feel when they are no longer around…
Your kitties are lovely! I’ve always had cats around the home, they are brilliant to have, and they’ve all had different personalities! xx
They make me laugh every day – love em to bits!
The cats are beautiful, I have 4 cats myself and 3 baby kittens that are off to their new homes next week. Good luck on your first day back at work tomorrow, I hope they don’t work you too hard. Jude xx @jadlgw
Thanks Jude – me too, although I’m expecting to feel exhausted at the end of my shift! I’d find it so hard to give kittens away – I remember bringing our two back home, absolutely best day ever!
It’s not going to be easy Jen, these kittens are so cute, mummy cat is siamese, not going to let her have anymore though as it’s so hard letting them go. Jude xx
I’ll bet – my two have been spayed and are indoor cats anyway due to vicious dogs in the immediate neighbourhood – I can’t risk them going out, so I’ll never have to go through giving kittens away. Just think though, how much joy you’ll be giving to another family xxx
gorgeous mine don’t seem to curl up together very much they all have their seperate chairs lol
This was a rare moment of affection. They don’t fight, but often when I walk in they’ll be snuggled up together, and then look at each other as if to say “damn we got caught!”
too cute for words. looks like you asked them to run a marathon or something and that they are totally exhausted. hahahaha hilarious! xx
Hehe – I imagine thats what it feels like to them wearing their fur coats all day in this heat! Poor little monkeys x
Hi Jen,
Awww, look at them pose together! I love the ones where they pose exactly alike! I love the second picture. When Zena sleeps like that, we call it, “Dead Dog.”
I love how England defines “heat wave.” I would love the 80s and what not (as long as I had A/C indoors. I have Epilepsy that’s easily triggered by heat.) I love the 80s. Now, I start to lose my, “I love the heat,” motto at the mid 90s and I’m over the heat once the temperature hits 100. The problem where I live is that once it starts to get hot here, it starts to get humid! I hate humidity! Nothing like it being 90 with 80% humidity (yea, it feels like you’re walking through three sheets of sticky paper with a thick layer of honey! Yech.)

Hi Kate – Lol- I agree we are wimps compared to some of the world when it comes to heat! xxx
No, no, I don’t think the English are that big of a wimp, especially historically speaking. I think I’d die if I lived in India. I would die I think in two days. I would wheeze like that wolf chasing Arthur and Merlin in The Sword in the Stone and drop dead, hopefully into a non-alligator and mosquito infested cool lagoon (that may or may not revive me.) That place is just far too humid and far too hot. I have no idea how those English people did it.
I love their toes. I love smelling their paws when they lay beside me, I know sick habit but it’s our little cuddle moment. One let’s me massage between the pads of her back toes
Aw – thats well sweet! xxx
Awww, they’re too cute! I want to cuddle them! This really makes me miss having cats.
Have you seen the blog Cat Versus Human? I think you’d like it! x
I’ll be sure to have a look at that blog – thanks twelve52 xxx
This is crazy but I have the same cat exactly (with the same white and black at the exact same places) and her name is also Coco! these cats are the best!
OH WOW!! Thats amazing! Kitty Twins!!!
