Five Minute FOTD

12 Comments 05 July 2011

My FOTD’s only ever seem to take five minutes, unless I’m going somewhere special, and I rarely bother with makeup on work days, as I’m more concerned at the moment with ensuring I’m plastered with enough SPF to sink a ship. Anyway, here’s todays…

Apologies For my Crap Hair!

On the face I used Illamasqua Ligh liquid foundation, and Collection 2000 concealer, all set with ELF mineral booster powder. I contoured with the new Bourjois bronzer, and applied Sleeks Avoir De Peche blusher.

On the eyes I used ELF mineral eye shadow in “Natural”, and a little Barry M dazzle dust in shade 51 through the crease and along the lashlines. I also used Rimmel’s Day to Night mascara (not in love with this – it dries out too fast).

On the lips I applied Sleek’s True Colour lipstick in the shade “Liqueur”, which is a great high street dupe of Crystal Baby by Estee Lauder…

Hope you liked!

Your skin looks amazing, all dewy and glowing, I usually find the natural look that you have achieved takes me a lot longer than full on going out makeup. Jude xx @jadlgw

Thanks Jude, what a lovely comment – to be fair, my skin’s not looking too horrendous at the moment, so just needs evening out a bit… I think the mineral powder helps too!

Ooh I like it, especially love the lipstick!

    • Jen (Mizz Worthy) says:

Thanks Collette – II’m in love with this lipstick at the moment, and its a fraction of the cost of the Estee Lauder which is my all time fave!

  3. Five minute fotds are always my favourite because they’re the looks I’m more likely to use regularly :p love this one! X

I love this. Oh, to go back to my five-minute faces. Wait, did I ever do five minute faces? Mine’s more like ten….fifteen………fifty if I have no idea what I want to do, I’m bored and I have a “creativity” itch to scratch. I’d hedge near the ten/fifteen minute mark on school and normal days (which can be catastrophic sometimes if I wake up late on a school day.) What sucks up time is my skincare (okay, okay…my eye makeup too. I need to work on that one!)

    • Jen (Mizz Worthy) says:

Thanks Kate – I rarely wear makeup on work days because of shifts/lack of time, and also sometimes I just feel it’s not good to look too good at work if that makes sense! lol xxx

Love this, so simple yet you look polished and fabulous :) I love, love that lipcolour on you :)

You look lovely. I especially like your eye makeup. Re the illamasqua llf, mine seems to have turned yellow after about 8 months. Have you heard of this happening with age? Mine’s in 120. Simone x

    • Jen (Mizz Worthy) says:

Hi Simone, Thanks for the comment – re the Illamasqua foundation, thats not something I’ve personally heard about, but I guess with all makeup it has a shelflife, so that may have something to do with it – other than that, I[‘d suggest letting Illamasqua know as it may have been a faulty batch or something?
