I know from reading other peoples blogs, I’m not the only one to have been sent a little Christmas Cheer from the lovely peeps at Zuneta. I was sent the Hourglass lipgloss in Siren as an early Christmas pressie.
As you can see, its a beautiful metallic red – it reminds me of a red Christmas tree bauble… I have read a lot of posts written by bloggers who recieved the Hourglass eyeshadow duo instead, expressing relief not to have been sent this as its a bit of a scary colour to them. I disagree – its such a pretty colour, and its also apparently an LE created for the season. I really like the formula of these glosses, and they smell divine too – like warm vanilla. As this one is such a strong colour it definitely needs a lipliner with it, so pretty – I’m thrilled! I’m thinking of wearing this “pin-up” style at some point with a flick of glittery Rouge Bunny Rouge liquid liner and lashings of black mascara…
Zuneta’s website has been one of the finds of the year for me – it stocks Rouge Bunny Rouge and HourGlass, exclusively in the UK, as well as lots of other hard to find brands, like Malin and Goetz, Erborian, Hei Poa, and Found. Their customer service is second to none – during the recent postal strikes they switched from Royal Mail to courier after listening to customer feedback, and also replaced several parcels at their own cost. As well as this, the site allows customers to enter information regarding their own skintone and recommends colours based on this – genius!
They are also more than generous with samples and free gifts – In various orders I have recieved Korres shower gels, a curved nail file from Butter London, and tonnes of samplers from the likes of jurlique etc. This brings me onto this next little gem – Yu-Be skin cream.
I expected this to be yet another version of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream (which I don’t really love). Yesterday, in a desperate attempt to seek some relief from the horrible effects the virus is wreaking on my skin and lips, I dug out the sample of this I was sent.
This little beauty is fab – its more creamy in texture than eight hour cream (which to me is just fancy schmanzy vaseline), this actually absorbs in and softens the skin – I have tried it on my lips, the skin on my nose, and on my cuticles, and it has worked wonders – I’ll definitely be ordering a full size on when my dinky little sample tube runs out… It contains glycerin, which naturally clings onto moisture, vitamins E and B2, and Camphor to soothe. Definite recommendation…
It is also available in a lip formula. The skin cream costs £11.74, while the lip formula comes in at £2.93.
